The General Assembly’s high-level meeting marking the International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons is scheduled for 29 September 2026. The UN says the meeting falls after the observance because 26 September is a Saturday.
The published programme provides for morning and afternoon sessions. This is an advance notice of a diplomatic meeting, rather than a report of a disarmament agreement. The schedule was checked on 20 September.
