A UN high-level meeting on pandemic prevention, preparedness and response is scheduled for 25 September in New York. The official programme places international cooperation, fairness and solidarity at the centre of discussions.

The UN says the meeting is intended to approve a political declaration negotiated by governments and submit it to the General Assembly. As of 20 September, the meeting has not taken place and this brief does not describe the declaration as adopted.
