Papua New Guinea won the East Asia-Pacific Division 2 Under-19 qualifier in Port Vila, Vanuatu, finishing their campaign without a defeat, the ICC reported on 12 September.

A 143-run victory against Samoa in the final secured progression to the Division 1 qualifier, where PNG will join Japan and Fiji. Ware Wala received both the player and bowler awards for the tournament, while captain Vagi Morea was named its leading batter.
