A touring exhibition is examining how information about the Holocaust reached Britain while the killings were taking place, The Guardian reports. Its research uses contemporary reporting, broadcasts, archives and witness accounts.

The project challenges the assumption that British audiences learned the scale of the crimes only at the war’s end. It also provides a preview of material intended for the planned national Holocaust Memorial and Learning Centre in London.
