Guyana has launched a community of practice focused on school safety and belonging, with more than 240 participants joining its virtual launch, IIEP-UNESCO reported on 18 September.

The Ministry of Education leads the initiative with support from international partners. The network brings together school leaders, educators, parents and education officials to exchange experience and strengthen day-to-day leadership.

Discussions emphasised communication with families, trust and student participation alongside formal school policies.
