Venice’s collateral awards highlighted a wider group of films, with separate selections made by critics, cultural organisations and other cinema professionals.

The festival’s list dated 11 September includes an Arca CinemaGiovani honour for Lee Chang-dong’s Possible Love and a special mention for Shalini Adnani’s Our Share of Sand in the Authors under 40 awards. These independently judged honours are distinct from the festival’s main competition prizes.
